While many students kicked off February break, our indoor track athletes wrapped up their season with outstanding performances.
• Evan Spruce shattered the school record in the weighted throw (40-07), a sectional-qualifying mark, improving by over five feet.
• Preston Smith broke his own 3,200m school record (11:38.96) and dropped 12 seconds in the 1,600m (5:32.77).
• Jackson Oram hit new PRs in long jump (18-06) and triple jump (35-09.25) after focused training on technique.
• Freshman standouts: Jayden Romero (55m PR – 7.77), George and Denver Parsons (1,000m PRs – 3:24.91 & 3:27.36), and Denver with another best in the 1,600m (5:34.20).
• Payton Bigler, despite battling illness, dropped 18 seconds from last year’s 600m time.
• The 4x200m relay team (Romero, Oram, Follman, Colts) ran their second-fastest time this season.
With 10 personal bests, 10 top-ten performances, and two school records, our team heads into Sectionals ready to compete at their best!
