General Notice
With regard to the Salamanca City Central School District (โDistrictโ) web site and any official District web presence developed, maintained or offered through District sources, the District is committed to complying with the provisions of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The goal is to provide students, parents and members of the public with disabilities the ability to independently acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same benefits and services as those without disabilities, with equivalent ease of use.
Transition Toward Web Accessibility
The Salamanca City Central School District is in the process of transitioning its websites and web-based resources to more accessible formats. By July 1, 2020, it is our goal to have all web-based information hosted by the District comply with the W3Cโs Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level A. These standards help make the web easier to navigate for people experiencing vision problems, dexterity issues, hearing differences and those with other neurocognitive barriers. The Technology Support Department is responsible for reviewing all areas of the Districtโs web presence and evaluating its accessibility on a periodic basis.
About Portable Document Format (PDF) Files
While the Salamanca City Central School District is unable to provide alternate text or HTML versions for all of the documents that appear on the website in PDF format. We will, upon request, work with any individual with a disability to provide web documents in an alternative format.
