Seneca Studies Honor Society

The Seneca Studies Honor Society was formed in the Salamanca High School to give recognition to those students who have demonstrated the desire to participate and succeed in classes, organizations, and community service that focus on Seneca and/or Indigenous peoples.

Congratulations to this year’s newest members! It is exciting to announce that the new members of the Seneca Studies Honor Society are:

Adam Clark, Junior
"I love learning about our history.  It is an honor to be who we are and by being on the honor society it can help not just me, but other students as well to keep our traditions and learn about our past.”

Aubrey Domres, Junior
"I want to be someone that helps improve the youth in our community by learning our own language and culture.  I feel having the Seneca Studies Honor Society recognition as part of my accomplishments would be a step towards that.”

Skyla Dowdy, Junior
“Being a member of the Seneca Studies Honor Society would be important to me because it would show how much pride I take in being a Seneca student.  The culture is big in my family, and my ancestors hold a great title within the community, I’d like to live up to them.  I would be setting a great example for my younger siblings and cousins by getting involved.”

Maylina Massagli, Junior
“Being a member of the Seneca Studies Honor Society would be important to me because I would have the opportunity to be a role model to others.  It means a lot to me and my family that I am setting an example for my siblings.”
