The Salamanca City Central School District’s proposed $43,537,292 budget for the 2020-2021 school year passed by a vote of 666-134 on Tuesday night.
The budget will be used starting July 1 and ending June 30, 2021.
The community also passed three property acquisitions by a vote of 657-157.
The purchases of the properties at 70 Fern Avenue and 413 Front Avenue were approved for $79,999 and $50,000, respectively. Also approved was a lease with the Seneca Nation for the unnumbered parcel of land adjacent to 413 Front Avenue at $913.51 a year for 40 years.
Finally, incumbent board of education member Kerry John ran unopposed and was re-elected with 743 votes. There were 48 write-in votes and 29 blank votes.
